Well hell! Rodney is going to get all excited at my following post but I believe it has to be said, to reward Jeff for his excellent efforts.
Mr. Jeff Kosarin of Datek is really very good at returning calls, albeit he's never around to directly answer you when you call, but he does seem good about returning the calls. So far, he's returned two of my calls and I find that a very refreshing change--definitely a pat on his back. I might add that the response was very quick. One of the two calls was returned within 15 minutes--I was totally amazed, but quite happy.
HOWEVER, in regards to general customer service people, my rating for them is still a C- to D. Most are ignorant of my questions or requests and they have NEVER returned a call, when they specifically said they'll get back to me. They desperately need to improve the gerenal CS people.
MOREOVER, the operations (trading@datek.com) people are even worse. They are RUDE and ARROGANT. Never once have I spoken to one who was friendly or cordial. Every one of them is very curt and brash, as if speaking to someone from a collections agency. They are TOTALLY unacceptable--espeically the male employees. I do remember speaking with an "Angela" at operations and she was a bit better, but still not as friendly as I would expect.
I've always bitched about Datek before but today I'm also praising Jeff K. of Datek for his good efforts at returning my calls. Frankly, I just hope it keeps up. And his daily posting on here is definitely appreciated. I SINCERELY hope Jeff K. stay's with Datek for some time to come.
On another note, it was also a surprise to see Peter Stern pop up in here. No flames Peter, but just some questions:
When will the All-or-None option be implemented? We've been asking for that since October of 1996 and it still hasn't appeared. Any projections?
