I only started this thread as a joke, really, and because Westertout was just too irritating to ignore. Like Bill Ulrich says, the potential for completely useless flame wars arising from accusations is pretty big. There seems to exist hard copy linking ole 49r to toutery for Mink. That's all we know for sure at this point. Bre-X made liberal use of the internet all the way through the scam, the CEO's brother was pumping it on the thread here even, so the possibility of them paying covert touts looks pretty good. Ole 49r has promoted the Walsh line all the way through, and quite strongly. So we recognize the possibility. But there's no evidence at this point. Walsh & Co were shredding papers for a day and a half before the Mounties moved in, so we may never know. Re OVIS/RMIL; Yes, fascinating reading, I lurk the thread(s) at times, and at times have come near to posting, but luckily have restrained myself so far. There are posters on SI to whom I give some limited credence, but I don't see them on the OVIS thread. Great drama, though... ..... cheers .......... marcos
