Read more about the history of Apple, how Jobs sometimes takes credit for "inventing" things that others came up with, and how Steve and others have learned since the last time he was at Apple. IMHO, your statement does not jive with the facts.

If Jobs were not at Apple anymore, no doubt it would be a huge loss. He has great drive, excellent taste in knowing what consumers want, and he's the best corporate showman I've ever seen. I think the hit to Apple stock would be substantial, but mostly due to perception, not the reality of Apple's situation. There are MANY smart people at Apple capable of keeping it going until the last star falls from the sky.
