Granted, I'm in California, but I just got an email this morning about Obama's get togethers. His campaign is organizing people via social events- and there are TONS in my area. I've really never seen anything like it wrt a political party. I'm going to a couple just to see what they are like (and that's not something I've ever done before). Not only do the parties sound fun, but they are everywhere- from the super affluent communities to the more modest ones. Is the same thing going on where you live?
