GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: June 17, 2008 Independence Hub production shot all the way up to 944 MMcf/d in yesterday's I2 cycle but has dropped back to 871 MMcf/d today. Total offshore production moved up to 11.9 Bcf/d in the I2 for yesterday but dropped to 11.5 Bcf/d in today's evening cycle. That compares to an average of 11.8 Bcf/d in March prior to the Independence outage. BP said one well is online at its 200 MMcf/d Thunder Horse platform in the deepwater and full commissioning is expected to be complete by the end of the year.

US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: June 17, 2008 US power burn decreased 1,502 MMcf today, landing at 19.5 Bcf in total.The Northeast decreased the most today, down 609 MMcf compared to yesterday.US power burn is forecasted to exceed 26 Bcf by June 27 as average temperatures climb.Burn for the week ending 6/19 is forecasted as 140 Bcf, 41 Bcf less than the week ending 6/12.
