Suma -

Not just warlike. They also did human sacrifices. And they had a ball game that they played where you had to get a small ball through a small hoop that was twenty feet off the ground, using only your feet. Many of the ball courts are still around.

They'd have competitions between cities. The losing team was put to death.

Fun people, the Mayans. And not a one of them over 5'6". When I lived in Cozumel, where the native population is largely Mayan, I towered above everyone. Being 6'3" tall, I"m used to being taller than most people, but being there made me understand how Yao Ming feels.

I always enjoyed getting things off high shelves at the grocery store for people. They thought it was funny that I could do it.
