Allen, The losing team was put to death I thought so too. Actually it is the captain of the winning team who was sacrificed. He who conquered all the others, and so earned the right to duel with the Gods. It was considered a big honor and the losing captain was given the humiliating task of decapitating the victor Fun people, the Mayans Not my idea of fun;-) BB
