I hear you. I'm the son of an immigrant and one thing immigrants believe in is education. I don't believe education makes you more intelligent, but I absolutely believe that it gives you the knowledge to cut through the bullshit propaganda that these politicians are so fond of spewing. The educated mind is used to doing its own research and not taking anyone's opinion as fact. This is where our country is going wrong. We think somehow we're entitled to what we have. Our educational system is going down the tubes along with our lead in science and technology. That's another reason I like Obama. He understands that the strength of this country and our Democracy is directly related to how educated our people are. That's why he spends so much time berating fathers for abandoning their families and telling parents to take the video games away and give their children books. That's why Obama wants to give kids a college grant in exchange for civil service. Obama is a big believer in education and so am I. Ignorance is a great recipe for making bad decisions.
