Big oil companies got big by investing money differently than you. They are drilling hugely expensive, long term investment deep water wells all the time.

Things change. If Obama gets elected, and we have a majority Dem congress, you will see a significant effort to go to alternative energy.

You know the oil companies know this. And you know it is a factor in their investment decision making process. At the VERY LEAST it gives them pause.
