John McCain is not one who has a history of running from political unpopular positions (reference previous post concerning ANWR). McCain just yesterday flip flopped on 50 mile drilling... as he has on almost all issues. I have no idea how you can believe a word the man says. The simple truth is that the American people WANT to drive SUVs and when you tell them they cannot, that is taking away a fundamental freedom. They can drive SUVs if they are willing to pay the real cost. We have been through this David Ray. Your righteous indignation is misplaced... the government already tells you what you can and cannot drive, get over it boy.
