It is indefensible, and that you are trying to defend him suggests that your priorities don't lie exactly where you've claimed. Frankly, from my perspective, I'm trying to SAVE the affluent US lifestyle, not see it destroyed by shipping our wealth overseas. I would be perfectly happy to see 80% of the cars SUVs if/when we can figure a way to get 50+ MPG out of those suckers.
