Frankly, from my perspective, I'm trying to SAVE the affluent US lifestyle, not see it destroyed by shipping our wealth overseas. If we are hogtied and forced to drive Smartcars, that is NOT saving the affluent US lifestyle. This is the same wrongheaded approach as trying to "save" our freedoms by opposing the monitoring of phone calls of suspected terrorists.
