Then it would make sense to not raise taxes on people while their incomes or spending power drops and then have the government start handing out or redistributing money -

They can easily replace their gas hog with an efficient vehicle and get a rebate instead of losing money.

talk about inefficient, the government is the poster child for inefficiencies.

What do you hate our country? The government is VERY efficient at certain thing... not so efficient at others. In most cases they out source the stuff they don't so well.
