Joan: Thank you for the note. I am fascinated by the discipline and patience required to write lines of language. Like many people, I use Word, Excel, and Access. I also use Frontpage and several others. On the other hand, I use Wordperfect and Quatropro also. My operating system on the Pentium II is Win NT 4.0 workstation. I was initially afraid to order it with the system, but it makes the Pentium II sing its sweetest notes. So far it has provem docile and has not done anything nasty. I do not push any of these programs to their limits. On my 386, I have Win 3.1

You are right about wondering what is next. Intel keeps churning out wonderful product and AMD and Cyrix try to keep up--and to some extent they are. Microsoft keeps churning out its lines and IBM and Corel compete to match or surpass them with their suites.

I believe in a competitive marketplace. I would like to see Dell and others offer the various suites. I remember asking someone about changing suites and I was told I would have to pay extra. That disturbed me.

Now about the market. When I first appeared on this thread, I believe you had a note that touched on the difference between investing and speculating. The other day, a fellow on this thread, distinguished his investments from his speculations in a nicely written note.
