As I just told Brumey:

"According to GW Bush ANWR would produce about 670,000 barrels a day..... about 3% of our daily usage..

There are 235,000,000 vehicles in the US; just think of what we would gain if each vehicle saved just one gallon per day.... That's equivalent to almost 5.9 million barrels per day...That could easily be attained by either improving mpg or simply less driving. And you think the answer is more drilling of the little remaining reserves we have or waiting for a oil producing bug."
