I love the College World Series from Omaha. Which is odd, because I can't stand the rest of the season. Sadly, Rice is out, so we Houstonians have nothing to root for. Unless we are originally from California, in which case we have Fresno State and Stanford still in the hunt. Fresno State looks tough. I was born near Fresno, but from 4th grade on, lived near Stanford, so I would like them to play in the championship game.
Georgia looks good, too. Miami and North Carolina are dangerous.
BTW, they called a Fresno State hitter for leaning into a pitched ball. After he was hit, he ran toward first and the umpire yelled, "no, no, no." That was the most fun since Billy Martin pine-tarred George Brett after he hit a homerun. |
