After 28 years since Carter left office, the burden of proof is on McCain to prove how it would be. He's just trying to find an unpopular figure to tie Obama to instead of dealing with him head to head on issues and proposals. And divert attention from the unpopular president that McCain is very much tied to in terms of actual policy continuity.

If I decide that McCain would be another Herbert Hoover because they were both Republicans in difficult economic times, would it be up to McCain to prove otherwise? Why not?
