I would not be too quick to write Apple growth off.

OS: Rhapsody as an operating system may turn out to be far more successful than many people think. This is not a "brand new" operating system. Anybody that uses UNIX and wants a OS that scales from the desktop to mainframes with a extremely good GUI will be an instant target (Webmasters, academics, large business, government, etc).

HARDEWARE: If Rhapsody runs on intel, then why can't Apple buy Intel chips to put in some of its boxes?

There are a lot of possibilities and most people I know are holding off buying NT until they can evaluate Rhapsody. There is a lot more known about BSD UNIX than there is about NT.
