Producing more oil has to be good unless it takes our eyes off the alternate energy and conservation ball.

As you know, I believe the high price of gas is a huge motivator, so if additional production resulted in complacency, I would be opposed to it.

I don't think that will happen, because I don't think we're going to see enough near-term production to drive prices down. At best, we can prevent further increases -- until such time as the country moves toward electric vehicles.

I don't think we can do enough fast enough to get the price below $4 again -- that's going take relief from OPEC I think.
