John, I think we see the scope and depth of the problem differently. If you felt the urgency that I feel, and expected what I expect in the very near future, then I think you would be repulsed by the pure waste of huge SUVs. Some would be repulsed by pure waste of huge suburban houses. I sincerely believe that our way of life is threatened. Rich, poor, everyone. More serious than 9/11, more serious than WWII, maybe more serious and longer lasting than the Great Depression. Am I an alarmist? Maybe. Not worth the gamble If you feel so strongly, dump you suburban house, dump you car and move to some urban condo apartment. But I suspect you want the other guy to bear the brunt of your "progressive" ideas. Looking at it from my perspective, pissing off a few SUV drivers is not at all significant. Looking at it from my perspective, mothballing your house and pissing you off is not at all significant... Joe
