Most people believe that fuel will be either hydrogen or electricity. Hydrogen is produced using electricity so it really means that congress needs to start permitting the construction of electrical plants everywhere. Since everyone wants clean energy that implies wind, solar, geo and nuclear. Electricity can replace other sources, which is why it is so important to have plentiful capacity, and cheap prices. At certain price, it makes more sense to use electricity for heating homes. Right now, oil is the main source (and also natural gas). So getting electricity to the price point where it is cheaper than oil, a good chunk of oil consumption can be phased out... Joe
