My house is entirely electric already - actually want to switch to a gas range/electric oven and have a backup propane heat system via a propane wood stove. Power outages in the winter are a real pain. Can't get piped NG as I'm too far out of the city - last to get service when the power goes out as well. There are some wood pellet, or wood chip stoves out there you may want to check out. It is renewable fuel (if you care). Joe
