I don't buy into either extreme of the argument because I am convinced there is more to it than we will probably ever get to know. Evolution is observable and while there is a great deal more to be learned, the science of evolution does not contradict the idea of creation. I see no benefit to either side in establishing artificial gotcha's in the debate.

"Jerry Coyne, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Chicago. ... he says. "That's just what creationists say can't happen."

Most educated people I have met, who believe the universe is a creation, also believe scientific principles are an aspect of creation we are still learning about, the principles that can be better understood via experiments like Lenski's. Coynes comment was unnecessarily bigoted.

I heard one man say, 'Scientific discovery is an act of revealing God.'
