It's very clear that the earth has been warmer in the past than it is currently or even on track to be. We can agree on that.

Doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to the future economic and environmental costs of global warming. That's just being poor parents. I agree we shouldn't take draconian measures, but some reasonable tax on coal burning would make sense.

I'd just be happy if we could tax coal at the right price, for example the price that would cover the deaths due to lung disease, mercurcy contamination of rivers, increased rates of asthma, etc.

Anyways sagey, have fun with the thread.
