Why don't you use heating oil....is cheaper (much) than electricity and doesn't have the awful smell of gas. I switched from electric to oil during the 70's crisis and was able to heat my whole house for the same price I was paying to heat two rooms with electric. I still have the electric system and use it as a back up.
