Interesting way to use oil as a diplomatic weapon. What's next?

Venezuela tells Europe-Restrictions on illegals means no oil

Venezuela will not ship oil to European Union members that enforce new EU restrictions on illegal immigrants, President Hugo Chavez said Thursday.

"Our oil will not reach European countries that enact immigration restrictions," Chavez said.

The European Parliament adopted the new regulations Wednesday.

Chavez also warned against action that would be taken his government against European companies operating or investing in Venezuela if the new immigration restriction were enacted.

"We will send back their investors and investment, Chavez said at a ceremony announcing a strategic energy alliance between Venezuela and Paraguay attending by that country's president-elect, Fernando Lugo.
