Hi TJ,
No less than people like Soros are saying that the oil price rise is a bubble, a la internet 8-10 years ago. This time he forgot that there has been another bubble, i.e. the upward valuing of the US dollar, which has ended, and it is gradually sinking these days. So the speculation in oil which Soros attributes to crazy people like us, is simply an effort to protect ourselves from the US dollar crash. The only element of speculation is the small excess of price rise in oil over the price rise in gold. Rises in oil price and gold prices are both caused by the same desire of all of us, to preserve value.
Also Soros is no geologist so maybe he thinks that oil scarcity is a dream like the infinite value of internet stocks.
BUY OIL, BUY BRAZIL, BUY GOLD, BUY Hong Kong real estate.
