"..I have NEVER gotten the impression that I have been lied to."

We also have not accepted this information at face value. For example, the Sequent debacle was bantered back and forth between Ancor longs and anonymous detractors. The central issue for me was whether or not there was independent verification of Ancor's story. It took a lot of digging, but eventually I found it and found that:

1. Ancor's story was 100% supported.

2. Ancor's management adhered to the NDA signed by the involved companies and did not disclose information to me about this situation.

The latency issue that Craig and I seem preoccuppied with at times is more than just an engineering issue. The anonymous detractors made it seem like it was an impossible claim and tried to "educate" us about what it was. I asked independent academic experts and Ancor's claim makes sense to me. In fact the "evidence" sited by the detractors wasn't even close to being a valid explanation.

If I lose money on Ancor - it won't be because I was duped. I don't "believe" in Ancor like it's a religion. Like several others on this board, the information the company gives us is carefully scrutinized.

I was paranoid long before Andy Grove was.
