Until we figure out what communities are using what electrical grids, and if those communities have enough support those grids (coal, nuclear, and natural gas)we'd better not try to sell everyone on electric cars.
BTW, another thing Obama hasn't thought of is, when he says that "even if we start now drilling oil, the cost won't go down for at least ten years" is: For over 200,000,000 MILLION (out of the 303,000,000 current citizens of America), WHERE is the money coming from for the new electric cars???
Does Obama think the whole country gets to go to Harvard and Yale, go to the Senate and do not much while collecting a pretty good salary PLUS great benefits, write a couple of books with lots of help, and marry another lawyer, who also is a good communicator, and does PR work with a hospital at a very large salary....???
Now, folks making over a million a year can probably afford a new small electric car.
BUT then again, when Obama has time to look, most people in the country who make under $50,000 and pay no Fed Income Taxes at all, can't probably afford a new electric car....
Even the ones who make $200,000 and have no help to care for their aging parents and get their kids to college, probably can't either. |
