11:06 US Panel rules in favor of duties on Chinese pipe imports - Bloomberg

The US International Trade Commission ruled that domestic steel pipe makers are being harmed by imports from China, a decision that will lead to tariffs of more than 100% on the US imports of that product. The decision marks the first time the US will impose duties to compensate for tax breaks and other government subsidies to Chinese competitors.

*******

The FIRST SHOT IS FIRED. I was expecting news of this sort to start surfacing.

I think the 2008 Chinese Olympics(for one reason or another) will mark the "beginning of the the end" of the fairly positive US/China relations that have been quite stable for the last 2 decades.

Trade of course will be a part of the collapse of relations....the future of Iran and the Middle East obviously another part of it...

... as well as the incredibly unstable financial condition of the USA.

It's possible by this time next year we will be at WAR with China.

There...Rogue has gone out on a major limb and sawed it off. You heard it here first folks!!
