please correct me if I'm wrong:

Buybacks REDUCE the number of shares. IDTI issued shares. Perhaps this has something to do with the new pension plan (stock purchase plan) they announced a few months back.

Issuing stock does nothing but dilute each individual (stockholder's) earnings per share. Sometimes this can be a good strategy to keep key employees who are given option rights which expire a little further out. (or pension plans, etc..)

My question is: am I reading the info correctly? Would earnings have been aprox. .20 more per share without the issuance of 6M shares?
