And Mc Cain has four - it was five- of his top campaign staff on the EADS payroll as Lobbyists. One of the five has had to quit Mc cains campaign as he was also a top lobbyist for several out of control dictators. The other four are still working for mccain and one of them is his finance chief. EADS is the defense group primarily made up of AIRBUS but also including ,as a minor partner , a us defense contractor Grummen Lockheed , that won the huge , multi year air tanker contract over Boeing, even though a lot of the work would go to europe . It is most true that Boeing played mickey mouse with another defense procurement and got caught ; but , then ,in the air tanker procurement EADS got the bid in part because an influencial Senator named John Mccain pushed it for EADS over Boeing. Isn't it interesting that the Defense Auditors have found several very unusual aspects of that bidding , suggesting it was rigged for EADS against Boeing. The Defense audit office is forcing a rebid which will take over a year as our tankers get older and older. One wonders if there is some linkage to Mccains tirades against Boeing several months ago. We shall see as the plot unravels.
