I thought that was the problem in the 60's and perhaps the main reason out of wedlock births have skyrocketed is because of population explosion?

The reason out-of-wedlock births has skyrocketed is because a single woman with a child can get enough welfare to get by. And they all know it. They have seen their Mothers and their Grandmothers and their Greatgrandmothers do it.

In fact, they are usually living with them.
