Re: Flash-OFDM - I agree with your anonymous contributor. OFDM is transport and OFDM(A) is access. You can't have OFDM(A) without OFDM, but the opposite is not true. There had been efforts to combine CDMA and OFDM (Philips Research among others wireless.per.nl ) but I don't think that worked as well in an open IP environment where processing power limits were being lifted, as compared to (S-)OFDM(A).
