We lost George Carlin this weekend. Sadly, I haven't listened to his comedy for years, but he was great during the 70s and early 80s. I remember the old "John Davidson Show," a variety summer replacement in the 1960s. In addition to the star's singing and guest stars with various talents, most of which I could live without, they had two young, regular comedians, Carlin and some guy named Richard Prior. The show was a dud, but the comedy routines on that program were the finest ever on tv and made the rest of the crap digestable. Two guys who overdosed on life and many other things, but who were funnier than Hell.

We'll miss you, George.
