petrobank down
baytex, bqi, vermilion, enerplus, canadian oil sands, connacher, opti-canada, and coal finance.yahoo.com up

gold down
skf, srs, twm up

all non-usd/hkd currencies down
hkd up

bekb.be, pspt, bg down
short against (eww) mexico etf up

more of this and that down, more of that and this up, etc etc

sub-net net up by a bit, as if last night did not happen

going forward: figuring on maybe shorting some covered calls on skf tonight, after perhaps buying back aussie worldwide exploration and energy resources of aussie this am, or possibly doing nothing, as it would be easier

(i) on other fronts, interest rate did not rise assuming one can actually find the money (perhaps dificult except for jpm :0), and so 4.5-6.7% cap rate locked-in in terms of a soon enough to be strong currency is not a bad thing, especially if lodged within truly free jurisdiction. but, otoh, sure wish rates would go up to 18% so that one can go pick on the wounded and clean out the dead

(ii) monetary and price inflations are both still up, because both are baked in, and so coal and steel and building material and labour and transportation all cost more AND sell for more, along with the stuff in which they are used, and so cash is not exactly a wonderful thing, but otoh, well, i do not know how it will all pan out, but am willing to watch, observe, ruminate, and see

(iii) mv may fu and mv lady giovi docked and unloaded, whereas mv atlantic is doing same - andthe good folks of philippines are still turning on their lights, so, however given port delays and usd 70k ship daily charter rates, faster unloading would be better (entire elapsed time is 2-5 days at load port, 4-5 days sailing, 3-5 days at discharge port, and so every hour counts on the meter) - in the meantime, respite for about 30 days

sub-net net still good

net net fuss-free

all is as was, very interesting, and nothing more, even as the silly insects make much noise, the summer is good

collapse 1929 usa fashion or coma 1989 japanese style, all ok
willing to watch and learn

zimbabwe solution or argentine resolution, be my guest, equally enthusiastic

chugs, j

p.s. today is m.o.u. signature time, say 5:00pm local time, and tomorrow is homeward bound trip, but only one direct flight, at night. much to do by the sony vaio vgn-ux38gn
