DOH! TURDS

The total absence of any credible energy policy offered by any important national politician, let alone any sensible comment on the fast-developing world food shortages, is appalling. But maybe once someone is elected, people with good sense will be consulted.

Mean time, I am invested in energy, bear funds, and food. Have you bought any DAG? I have a huge position now. It's like 200% leveraged DBA. I think what's happened is:

1. Most poeople are in denial about the crop prospects

2. People are thinking dot.com bubble=housing bubble=commodity bubble and holding back still

3. Politicians desperate for headlines are hollering "speculation" and "no commodities for pension funds" and this also spooks some investors.

Maybe there will suddenly be bumper crops everywhere, but if not, food may go up another 50% and if so DAG will double. As will COW when the meat shortage kicks in.
