If I wanted to develop a serious opinion of my own with regard to whether or not human activity causes meaningful changes in climate, I would have to spend a long time getting to know more about it. And I simply do not find it interesting enough to do so. And the world can do just fine without yet another guy turning into a home baked climatologist.

That's why I find the approach used by Bjorn Lomborg so appealing. He fights the obvious exaggerations - which includes standing up to people like Gore - politely, but firmly. His main interest is on what IS likely to produce best results for our money and effort - which is something Kyoto people should have analyzed, and did not.

He finds Kyoto to be wasteful and ineffective - which instantly puts him in opposition to the Green crowd. Kyotistas care about outcomes and results less than about having a focus point for a mighty political movement, imo. In the process, they would get to play with tons and tons of other people's money.
