So write performance of DRAM is out of reach. EvoRAM cannot compete here. Reliability of course is also not an issue in that environment. With 10k write cycles you achieve about 30 years when you have to change data only once a day. But this is far from being a DRAM replacement. The equation with the saving of 75% energy: There has to be a crazy server administrator calling: "Damn, I have to buy a four socket machine only to be able to configure the amount of memory I like to have. :(" Now he has the alternative EcoRAM. But he also could do some virtualization and use the four socket server for other tasks. With virtualization you can mix tasks with different performance characteristics in order to utilize your hardware and I expect the big server farms to do that. Regards
