Intrusion. In our free market economy, the government at best is a nuisance, at worst an obstacle.

The people are the country. Free people are not owned or controlled by the government. The government is a structure, a necessary evil, which exists only to provide for an orderly society and for the defense of the people's liberties.

I realize that some people, in particular those who receive checks from the government every month, don't agree with this libertarian view of good government. They are the takers, not the producers.

But it is important to understand that the country's long term sustainability requires the producers to continue to outnumber the takers by a wide margin.
