Albert; I agree, Cyrix is not the standard maker, however they can excel in execution and pull ahead of Intel with clever designs(no other way when you must give the other guy a long lead time before your runner leaves the starting block) forcing Intel into changing their own standard to make a kink in the road for the followers. Cyrix will be able to use what it has done for embedded processors that will extend sales after the point men CPUs stop selling(along with every man and his dog), and that type of proprietary niche can be quite profitable esp if one manufacturer gets a hot product and sells 50 million of them.
