Like I said Koan "You are truly blessed".
PS. Gardening will fool you. On the surface it seems like you just stick some plants in the ground. But what is really going on is a whole host of interrelated events: The PH of the soil, the interplay of light and shade, the dampness of the air, the micro-climate of the plot, the drainage of the soil, the varying growth rates, the length of the day, the length of the gardner's labor, the seed genetics, the seasonal bloom time, the mixing of color, the mixing of patterns, the vertical dimensions of the climbers, the horizontal dimensions of the spreaders, the infestation rate of the invaders, the types of invaders, the means of counterwarfare against the invaders, deciding when the time for death is, when and where to compost, the type(s) of compost, the type of fertilizer(s), the introduction of fountains, the types of fountains, the introduction of stone, the types of stone, the introduction pooling water, the introduction of pottery, the types of pottery, the introduction of statuary, the types of statuary, and one late Spring freeze, or early Autumn frost, or deluge, or heat wave, or drought, can make it all for naught.
You're right--not much different than politics. |
