There are independent trucks being idled all across the country. I have a friend who's brother works in the Menard's distribution center in Chicago. Twice in 2 weeks guys came in with a trailer that was half for Chicago and then the other half was coming to Eau Claire. Anyhow 2 different guys in 2 weeks got offloaded and then asked where they wanted the trailer parked and when told the other half had to go to EC they said they don't have the fuel to make it and can't afford to buy anymore and they were parking their trucks.

I thought I read somewhere that the diesel prices are a result of the low sulfur mandate and if that was lifted there would be an immediate drop in diesel. Don't know if that is the case but somehow a government mandate creating a new pressure on the market would not surprise me and is easy to believe.
