Where does all that middle of the country flood water end up?

Isn't there a river carrying it to the Gulf? Doesn't it go close to NO? Aren't there levees involved in keeping it in place?

Are there emergency plans ready to roll? Is this event sort of like a slow motion hurricane?

Is white water rafting an important tourist industry in NO?
