Liquidity trim tabs reported two days ago that for the first time in a very time, during its most recent reporting period equity mutual funds experienced NET OUTFLOWS.

Now I for one believe that is temporary, and that the US market has moved to a long lasting higher valuation rate due to a number of factors, most important being that boomers have decided to generally save in equities for their retirements, but also us tech revolution / lean and mean management / produce for shareholders so your options make you rich and cause the 80s taught you you'll be toast and out of work otherwise / productivity.

But money, on the margin, is perfectly capable of heading for the sidelines, otherwise known as money market funds. And is.

Which is why I reduced my margin to almost nothing this week through
early afternoon today.
