No, they act in self-interest, global labor arbitrage. This really took off in 00-s due to telecom revolution - we can now ship call center job to India, and Dell did. Make stuff cheap, sell it in the USA. The problem is that if nobody in USA has a job, then who will buy? Solved by running bubbles.
