Two years ago, rumors in Washington were that the ticket would be Hillary -Obama or the other way.

news.yahoo.com

There is still that possibility imho.

This linked article by John Whitesides covering the New Hampshire joint appearance of Obama and Hillary seems to indicate that Obama and Hillary may be moving in that direction.

From the article---------

"The Illinois senator has tread cautiously in courting Clinton and her millions of supporters, including some still angry about the outcome of the Democratic race, as he tries to unify Democrats for November's election race against Republican John McCain.

He told reporters earlier this week he hoped the joint appearance in New Hampshire signaled an active role for the New York senator in his White House race.

"I want her campaigning as much as she can," Obama said. "She was a terrific campaigner. She, I think, inspired millions of people, and so she can be an extraordinarily effective surrogate for me and the values and ideals we share as Democrats."

Mj thoughts:

Obama uses the word 'surrogate' to describe someone who speaks in his stead, in his place.

Obama needs Hillary's supporters. How else would he get their support if she is not on the ticket?

Giving her a $2,300.00 check is a pea-sized gesture when Hillary has done much more by introducing him to her wealthy donors.

If Obama should select Hillary with the approval of the Democrat Convention Delegates ,Ann Corrigan, our esteemed moderator may have to change the title of this board again.
