6 28 08 remain in the bond fund

the list above is all the funds available to us at peabody in our 401k fund. All funds are making lower highs and lower lows except the bond fund.

The difinition of an uptrend is higher highs and higher lows. This simple just isnt happening in the stock market.

if you closely at our bond fund the moving averages are starting to cross down in a bearish crossing giving use warning that bonds are in trouble also.

But in the case of the bond fund it hasnt made a lower low and is not as bearish looking as the stock funds.

In any case avoid stock funds and remain cautious. I have been saying this for quite some time.

bear markets last a long time in many cases and this one is just 8 months along. It is possible that it may last for several years.

The japan market has been in a bear market now for over 15 years. It was at its all time high in the early 90s and has never reached new highs yet.

I am moving to Austrialis for about 3 months and may be able to update this site more often at that time.

But in the mean time keep your money safe because a bear market makes new lows along the way and this bear market appears to be in a slow crash mode.

The all time high in the dow was 11700 which held for several years. This support level has now been taken out and we are now trading below this level. 11700 will now act as resistance if the market trys to move up here.

The down move could very likely pick up steam now that this important resistance area has been taken out.
