The huge END volume may have a few reasons.

June 30 is quarter end. Window dressing might explain it, or....

END was added to the Russell 3000 on Friday. Normally one would expect and increase in price associated with that. But, END fell.

END wasn't the only E&P with unusually high volume. XTO had it. EPEX had it. (EPEX was booted from the Russell 3000, yet traded up). HK had it. Etc.
