[Installation estimates]

<<< I came up with the $400 dollars as a split between the day of install cost of $200, based on a tech being at the house for 4 hours at $50 per hour, and follow up support for trouble shooting and question answering of another $200.>>>

Westell had a demonstration of ADSL installation at the ISP conference in San Francisco recently and they technician installed it in 8 minutes.

When I visited the ADSL trials in Redmond in May, the administrative director told the story about having all the installers attend a meeting where the managers provided pizzas, hoping to placate what they thought would be disgruntled workers. Turns out the installers were absolutely delighted at how easy the job was and joked that, hey, they didn't mind the free pizza. They'd take it any time.

Anyone who takes four hours to install it will be out a job, I'm sure.

This is from the front. :)

Cheers!
